ARTIST BIOS

CURREN$Y:
Curren$y, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana.
As a teenager, he was signed to Master P's No Limit Records until 2005. He then signed with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment, where he remained there until late 2007. While still at Young Money, Curren$y created Fly Society with skateboarder Terry Kennedy, first as a clothing company, then expanding to release music. He released the song, "Where Da Cash At" as the lead single for his Young Money debut, Music to Fly to, in 2006 but due to several push backs and lack of promotion, Curren$y decided to leave the label and venture off to do business on his own.
For several months, Curren$y released a series of mixtapes to gain notoriety. His work was impressive enough to land him on the cover of the XXL Magazine Freshmen 10 of 2009. Though he now had the cosign of one of the top hip-hop magazines, Curren$y was still overlooked by major labels. He then chose to sign with Amalgam Digital to release his debut album, This Ain't No Mixtape, in 2009.
Curren$y would release another album through Amalgam Digital titled Jet Files. He currently has a new album "Pilot Talk" which is scheduled for a June 15, 2010 release under Roc-A-Fella Records.

XV
Now, with the rise of the digital age where anybody can wake up and become a rapper, Hip-Hop has become crowded with one-hit wonders. XV, who got his name from the roman numerals of 15, the age he says he was when he departed from Earth to his hermit homelife on a fictional planet he calls, Planet Squaria, has somehow made his mark on the internet scene. Generating a buzz and strong fanbase on some of Hip-Hop's biggest blogs such as NahRight, 2dopeboyz, HipHopDX, AllHipHop, and more, through releasing the largely conceptual project, "The Square In The Circle", which includes a guest feature from Lil' Wayne. As well as releasing a slew of music with the series, "40 Days, 40 Nights", that he began in September of 2008, in which he released a brand new song every morning and every night for 40 days straight! XV IS THE TRUTH!

KEVIN JACK
For those who say hip-hop is dead it's obvious that you don't know Jack. With music that touches the soul and invigorates the spirit, this emcee grabs the attention of hip hop fans from all spectrums. Now imagine electronic, rock and pop inspired production juxtaposed with thought provoking lyricism and you start to experience the articulation of Jack's musical vision. Just recently, the up and comer snagged the Grand Prize and Lennon Awards for Hip Hop from the John Lennon Songwriting contest, and was a finalist for the Maxwell Corporation's 'Song of the Year' for his composition 'Dreaming of Darfur' . When asked about the slew of accolades Jack comments, 'It feels good to be appreciated, but I am just trying to have a good time and make great music.'
This, however, is not Jack's first major splash in his career. At only the age of 19, this emcee graced the world famous stage of Austin City Limits Music Festival (2005), was dubbed an Austin Music Foundation Incubator Award Winner (2005), and was featured on FOX News and a host of other media outlets. Whether it is rocking the crowd with simply himself and a DJ, or bringing down the house with backing from his live band, this artist displays showmanship at its best. His latest live outing included a tour of Texas Tour with Roc Nation's crown Prince J. Cole. Even with so much already underway, 2010 doesn't look to be slowing down as Jack prepares his second EP Titled “Nebula”. As fans eagerly await Jack's follow up effort, it looks as if 2010 could be a magical year for the budding artists' career.
